Did you think I was done with getting November monthly beauty box subscriptions? Silly internetz, you have no idea how deep this thing goes! Andy and I went out last night, and I used that as an opportunity to use my Ipsy goodies. If you like what you see and want to try it, use my referral code to help feed my beauty product addiction. 😉

Ipsy really stepped up their game this month. I got full-sized samples to use for date night and I liked the gold snake wristlet. The Bombshell Lip Crayon is awesome. It was easy to apply and the coverage was great. My complaint is that it doesn’t have great staying power. By the end of the night, there was barely any color left. I will not be using the Lash Gallery Mascara. It went on uneven and it flaked off by the end of the night. Which was too bad, it looks like it would be a great quality mascara. I did like the small curved brush though. I thought the Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow was cool. It went on nicely, I used a couple of coats and it has a pretty shimmer. The picture doesn’t do the eyeshadow or Gem Eye Pencil justice, I couldn’t get a shot that captures the colors nicely. I thought the eye pencil was nice and creamy, maybe a bit too subtle to be used on the lower lid, but will try it again on my upper lid. I found the Pixi  Beauty bronzer a bit too subtle for me, but it is illuminating which I’m a fan of! I also got Nailtini Straight Up Color nail polish, which I haven’t used yet. They sent me a metallic gray color that I can’t wait to use.

I also tried a couple of items from my last Sephora order. I used the 12HR Long Wear liquid liner in violet to replace the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in plum that I found very disappointing. It dried up too quickly and the coverage was very spotty. But no worries, Sephora’s violet liner really covered well and lasted through date night. SUCCESS! For my skin, I tried the DD Cream 15-Benefits-In-One BB/DD cream (whatever the heck you want to call it!). I got this because I liked that it’s self-adjusting and mattifying. The color went on well and it blended vith my skin tone. I was afraid when I squirted it from the tube thinking it would be too dark, but it was fine. It doesn’t offer enough coverage for me though, but you can use it as a foundation primer. So  I added a little concealer and foundation on top of it. It’s definitely mattifying, I could feel it and my skin didn’t get really oily through the evening, which is a definite bonus. I will definitely be using this again!

Additional benefits include the following: self-adjusting coverage; antiaging; hydrating; defending; evening skintone; minimizing pores; blemish soothing; reducing redness; firming; brightening; priming; enhancing vibrancy; refining; mattifying; and nourishing.

*DISCLAIMER: I was not asked or paid to review these products, I purchased the Ipsy subscription and Sephora items on my own. All opinions are my own.
