LUSH COSMETICS ROUND UP

Before I head out tonight, I’d like to write a review of some of my favorite products. Lush is a cool company that hand-makes their range of bath, body, and beauty products. They don’t do animal testing, and use fresh ingredients. Thankfully over the past few years, they have opened more stores. It makes it much easier to try out the products before you buy. I’ve tried some facial masks, face washes, and bar soap. While some of the products were a miss for me, there are more than a few I can’t live without!

1) My absolute favorite product is the Ocean Salt Cleanser. I have oily and acne-prone skin. This scrub is the only product that actually makes a HUGE difference! It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth it in my opinion. I still get some occasional break-outs, but not as bad as before I started using the scrub each night. If you have sensitive skin, I don’t recommend using it everyday it may over-dry. It contains sea salt to soften skin, avocado and coconut to moisturize, and lime and vodka to cleanse. It smells so good!

2) For my hands, I like to use Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter. This cream is lemon-infused and I just love the smell! It’s very rich and heavy cream that works great on cuticles, elbows, or other rough patches. Each batch has 22 pounds of beeswax and avocado oil. I use it before bed on some nights.

3) I hate having chapped lips! I use the Mint Julips lip scrub about once a week followed by a nice lip balm.I recommend trying it in the store as a friend of mine found that she is allergic. But they have other flavors aside from mint-chocolate. This scrub is infused with sugar and peppermint with a hint of chocolate. It also smells delicious. I just love the smell of pretty much everything they make, haha!

4) Occasionally I like to break up using the sea scrub with Coalface cleanser. This bar cleanser is  for combination to oily faces. The charcoal absorbs excess oil and acts as a mild exfoliator. There is also rosewood and sandalwood oils reduce redness and clear up blemishes. I like this the best out of their coal-based cleansers, it’s much neater. I tried the Dark Angels soft scrub but found it too messy for my taste. To each his own!
