OLIVE OIL POACHED TUNA

Cooking with Randy "All That"

In an effort to get myself to cook more, Andy and I tried Plated this week. They have an offer for 4 free dinners, when you use promo code “tryplated2014″. So we selected the Olive Oil Poached Tuna and Pork Tonkatsu. The food items were delivered in an insulated box yesterday to my front door. When Andy got home, we started cooking! Andy did all the chopping and made the sauce, and  I cooked the beans and tuna. Overall, it took us about 40 minutes before we sat down to eat. But man, was it a pain to do all that chopping! I think the food came out good, but the portions are too small for us. So I will be trying Blue Apron within the next couple of weeks.

Another thought would be to order portions for 4 and hope that there will be leftovers for lunch the next day. Later this week we’ll be making the pork, wish me luck!
