SEARED STEAK AND SWORDFISH #HelloFresh

We got another set of three meals from HelloFresh this week. For those that don’t know, HelloFresh is a dinner box service. Each week they create new recipes to pick from and they send the recipes and ingredients right to your door. So you can cook your own meals without having to make a trip to the grocery store. You can skip weeks if you like too! I find the recipes are really easy to follow, but definitely involve some prep time. But it’s great way to get more comfortable in the kitchen and get cooking! If you’re interested in checking them out, use my referral code at the bottom of this post to save $20 off your first order. Don’t worry, they have options for vegetarians as well! Anyway, we made Seared Steak with Peppercorn Sauce and Grilled Swordfish with Pepperonata and Garlicky Cannellini Beans.

I had no part in the cooking of the swordfish. Andy did that all on his own, which was nice! I like coming home to dinner already made. haha! But he said there wasn’t much to do prep-wise so from start to finish it took him about an hour.

I decided to make the seared steak all on my own last night because I was very hungry and Andy decided to take a nap. So, it took me a little over an hour to make this dish, and that was mostly because the steak took much longer to cook than the directions stated. I ended up over-cooking it a little. I actually prefer my steak on the medium-rare side, but it wasn’t bad being cooked well-done. The roast potatoes and broccoli were a cinch to make at least! Zorro kept trying to steal the pan of roast potatoes and broccoli though. He loves veggies for some reason, my dog is a weirdo.

I purchased the HelloFresh dinner kit on my own. All opinions are my own. To help me get referral points, please use my code! Save 20$ on your first order with my code QFJ5CE at www.hellofresh.com
