So I spontaneously made a wedding dress appointment prior to my other appointment. It all started the other day when my friend Erin found this really awesome tinted dress on Google images. After some searching around, we found out the designer and model of the dress. It turns out, it’s an oldie from Fall 2012, so good luck trying to find it. I called a few local bridal shops, and one said they might be able to order it, since it’s still on the designers website. This is good news! So they reached out to the company, and are going to let me know.
In the meantime, I called Nordstrom (they carry that designer as well) and they told me they are having a Lazaro trunk show. They didn’t have the dress I want on hand anymore, but they said it’s possible it could turn up during the trunk show, but not extremely likely. No matter, I decided to take their very last open appointment during the trunk show, just to sniff it out. I think this appointment will be like the montage scene in The Sweetest Thing, not taking it terribly seriously (sorry Nordstrom employees!), but to scope out options. I’ve already printed out some Lazaro and Hayley Paige dresses I want to try.
Their dresses are over my budget, but it doesn’t hurt to check them out anyway. Who knows, maybe they will have a sale, or I can snag a sample size at a discount or something. Either way, I’m not putting pressure on the appointment. It’s my first one after all, and I’m quite indecisive. So I’ll end up checking out at least a few shops before settling on something. Also, I still have lots of time to get a dress, I didn’t want to rush and panic-buy a dress.
