I have been really bad about blogging as of late. It’s been a busy few months and I kinda forgot that this blog existed. Ooops! But fret not, I’m going to try to make an effort to do more blogging, but it will likely be shorter posts. I just want to get my moneys worth with the domain name. Haha!

I meant to blog a couple weeks ago, with a honeymoon recap. But that sounds very daunting right now. So I’ll get to it when I can. For now, I am have some exciting news. I am getting a new car tomorrow!!! I’m very pumped. I’m taking the afternoon off to pick it up, because apparently I like to visit car dealerships that are in inconvenient locations. Andy is tagging along as well. I’ll be sure to post pics when I have it in my possession. I’m also taking it on an inaugural weekend trip to the casino.

My face when someone asks about wedding plans

Ugh, I was doing SO GOOD at blogging a few times a week. Then I got all stressed out about  moving and neglected my blog. But I moved back in April, and haven’t gotten back on the blogging horse. Sorry Bloggy Horse!  The new apartment is coming along. We have some furniture arriving soon, which reminds me that I have to call and ask when it’s arriving.

I always have a bewildered look on my face when I get asked how wedding planning is going. Not that I’m necessarily behind on anything, I  just don’t really know what I’m doing. So I’m just stumbling along like everyone else who has never planned a wedding before. The invites went out last week. So far, only a few people on Andy’s side have responded. Good thing we don’t have a bet going on who gets the most RVSP’s, as I don’t have one single card back from anyone I invited. I guess my friends and families aren’t as eager as Andy’s side?

Anyway, last weekend we met with the event coordinator at our wedding venue. We ran through a bunch of items for the wedding. At the end, she said she wished she had more brides as organized as myself. I consider this a huge compliment, since I have no clue what I am doing! All I did was download a checklist by month of what I’m supposed to be doing (according to one of those wedding websites). It’s actually quite handy.

I moved the checklist to my own Google Keep file.  I wanted the option to customize the list. I should have kept my master list intact, so I could share it with other brides who don’t know what they are doing either and are just stumbling through the wedding planning process. I also had my dress fitting this month. The top of my dress has to be taken in quite a bit, I bought a sample off the rack. It needs to be shortened so my crazy heels can peep through a little.  We did our cake tasting as well. I still dream about the chocolate cake,  I’m sure I’ll be sick of it when I have to take home leftovers.  Worry about that later, I suppose.

A lot has happened the past couple of weeks, and I forgot to blog. Now I don’t know where to begin? I guess we can start with some important news. I set my wedding date and venue. After scouting a bunch of places online for their packages, meal options, and price point, we went with the second place we actually visited. It’s a local hotel that offers some really good deals, that are a good value (as far as weddings go). I’m very happy to have the venue, food, date, DJ, flowers, and cake figured out. It’s all included with the package. That takes most of the major things off the list. I probably won’t do much else in the area of wedding planning for the rest of this year.

Anyway, is it sad that I’m still tired from the weekend? On Thursday we went out for dinner and drinks. The pretzels in the picture were sooo good. I just love soft pretzels. I also recall catching a lot of Pokemon in the restaurant parking lot, haha.

Did I mention it’s been INSANELY hot in Boston for a couple of weeks now? Well Friday was certainly no exception. I met up with some friends at the bar. I decided to walk, thinking it would be cooler out. It wasn’t, dear diary. It was not cooler AT ALL. It was so stinking humid. I thought once I got to the bar, it  would be nice and cool. NOPE.

Turns out, they have the suckiest air conditioning ever. Or maybe it wasn’t working? I honestly don’t remember. I just remember it being really fucking hot, to the point where I went outside every time one of my friends wanted a cigarette just to cool down. I did get a Coronarita, that helped. But the bar refused to open the windows, despite it being cooler outdoors. It was supposed to rain, but it never happened so that’s why they didn’t want to open the windows at first. After the bar, we went to a friends house to enjoy her porch. But I didn’t get to stay long. I had to go to a party down the street, which we could hear from the porch. The party was fun, but it was just too darn hot at their new place. There was typical stuff like beer pong and flip cup.

So Saturday I had (yet another) party to attend. It was for a friends birthday, he has it every year in his back yard. At least on Saturday it wasn’t really humid. So hanging outside was fine. I was even able to find some Harpoon Camp Wannamango at the liquor store. I took their last 12 pack, yippie!

OMG, this is like the blog post that never ends. Sorry, I’m almost done. On Sunday, Andy and I went to a show. We pretty much go every year, the line up was pretty good for Summerland 2016. We saw Sponge, Lit, Sugar Ray, and Everclear. This time only Sponge came out to sign autographs and take pictures. I’ve met Sponge a few times already, they are very nice to their fans. I might edit this post later and drum up some of the pictures I took with Vinnie (the lead singer) from Sponge. In previous years, I met Eve 6, Filter, and Alien Ant Farm as well. The show was very good. Hell, even Mark McGrath made fun of himself for still having highlights. Gotta love the 90s’, amirite? Oh yes, there were lots of people wearing hemp necklaces, bucket hats, and sporting mushroom cuts. It was quite the sight!

It’s also great you can preview your box and swap things out.  You can also access their secret store a couple days a month to get great deals on their products.

This month I got a sweet treat,  some Chupa Chups! I also got some flash tattoos. I’ve used flash tattoos before,  but now that it’s summer (sorta) I can start to use them again. I got the Manda color (green), and Isabela (purple). I can’t wait to use them! Who knows when that will be,  since I’m a Jamberry lady now I tend to use wraps more than polish. But I can always use both.

You also leave the conditioner in for 2 minutes before rinsing. After I dry my hair,  I add a couple drops of Argan Oil to my ends.

Thanks to BrandBacker, I’ve been selected to try a great anti-wrinkle face cream from Anavita. Anavita is based in Tennessee, and takes great pride in their skin cream. The Anavita Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle Cream is manufactured in Canada under strict Canadian cosmetic manufacturing guidelines. The skin care products are never tested on animals. They only feature formulations with high quality ingredients free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens, and petroleum oils. Their top priority is to provide customers with 100% satisfaction, and nothing is more important than giving people a positive experience.

The cream contains unique super-absorbent hyaluronic acid, Argireline (5%), and Matrixyl. These ingredients make this anti aging, anti wrinkle cream for face & neck the absolute most effective anti wrinkle cream available. It is proven to stimulate collagen and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The cream is also easy to use. It’s great that if you use an anti-wrinkle serum in addition to a moisturizer, you’re saving a step! This is good for me, as I usually use a serum and face cream, so I’m happy to skip a step with my skin care routine. You can have more beautiful, smoother skin in just 2 to 4 weeks and see continuing improvement for 12 weeks (sometimes even sooner). Not only will it quickly reduce the look of fine lines and deep wrinkles, it’ll firm and replenish your skin to look noticeably younger.

As I said, the cream is easy to use. Simply massage Anavita Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle Cream after cleansing your skin in the morning and again at night. The non-irritating cream is well-suited for all skin types with a tested history of safe and gentle action by a long list of satisfied users. It is recommended for normal, dry, oily, and sensitive skin. I have some additional tips for using it to get the maximum benefits:

-Wash your face with a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type and lightly pat dry excess water.

-The cream is thick and rich. To apply it evenly, place a pearl-sized dollop on a finger and dab the cream around your face, neck or body. Then massage in the cream using gentle upward strokes.

-You can eliminate several steps in your daily beauty regimen by using the cream twice daily. It serves as a day cream, night cream, wrinkle cream and makeup base.

-You can use other skin care products when using the Anavita cream, but would suggest using them at different times of day. In general you don’t want to place the Anavita cream over another product since it may not be absorbed as well as it could. Sometimes another product may not work well with Anavita. For example, if you are using another brand of wrinkle cream on your face at night and wanted to use Anavita during the day, the night product could prevent Anavita from absorbing easily.

-You should notice a moisturizing effect within the first few days of use. The first visible effects should be seen within four weeks with full impact visible in twelve weeks (sometimes even sooner). While some experience rapid results in just a couple of weeks, others find improvement more gradual. The impact may be subtle at first.

I’ve been using this cream for about a week now and love it! I have oily skin, and it doesn’t make it super oily by the end of the day. This surprised me because the cream is so rich and thick, I thought my face would be greasier than a pizza by days end. That is not the case! Not only is the cream is rich, it has a nice light scent. I definitely feel like it’s smoothing my skin, not that I have many wrinkles to deal with. But I’m all about preventative measures!

If you’re interested in trying it, you can hop on Amazon and use the below coupon code for $5
coupon code: FEBBAC28
expires March 22, 2015

BUT WAIT, there is more! I’ve teamed with Anavita to do a giveaway on my blog. It’s easy to enter, just leave me a comment below saying how you’d love to try this cream and review it on your blog or Amazon. You can also show me some love and tweet/share this post! I’ll randomly pick a winner on March 6th! (open to US and Puerto Rico residents only!)

I was nominated for another award this week, wowie! This time it’s the Liebster Award, and I was picked by one of my favorite internet friends, Natasha! She is awesome, go check out her blog!

There are 6 rules for the Liebster Award:

  • Acknowledge the blogger who nominated them and display the award.
  • Answer 11 questions the nominating blog gave you.
  • Give 11 random facts about yourself.
  • Nominate up to 11 blogs you think are deserving of the award.
  • Let the 11 bloggers know you’ve nominated them via social media.
  • Give them 11 questions of your own to answer.
  1. What is the best/worst moment of your life so far?
Just thinking short-term, the best if booking a trip to New Orleans using airline miles. The worst is that we keep getting hit with weekly snow storms/blizzards that dump 1′-2’+ feet of snow we don’t have room for. Can we get a break?!
  2. What is your dream vacation spot?
I went to Punta Cana in August and it was awesome! But I’d love to go to Tahiti someday!
  3. What was your favorite television show/book/movie when you were 14 years old?
Crap, that was forever ago! My favorite show was probably SpongeBob, books might have been the Jessica Darling Series by Meaghan McCafferty, and movie was 16 Candles.
  4. What is your favorite television show/book/movie now?
My favorite current TV show is Girls, favorite books are Twilight (I know, I’m so sad!), favorite movie is Step Brothers
  5. What would you do if you won 100 million dollars?
Quit my job, invest some, donate some, and travel!
  6. What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
I’m really digging spaghetti squash these days. I can’t get enough!
  7. Have you ever turned a bad moment into a good one?
Hmmm, this is a tough one. I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.
  8. If you could stop aging, what age would you stop at?
    I’d stop at 30!
  9. Favorite Britney Spears song (You know you have one!)
  10. What would be your pep talk to a team or group?
    Let’s go with some Churchill!
“We shall fight on the seas and oceans,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,
    we shall fight in the hills;
    we shall never surrender.”
  11. Chocolate Chip or Oatmeal Raisin?
Oatmeal raisin is good, but it’s all about the chocolate chip!
Random Facts:
My facts are pretty boring, my brain isn’t cooperating today.

1. I met Jordan Knight about six months to a year before NKOTB officially got back to together. I’d like to think that since I was the first person to spot him and ask for a picture (thus creating a mass hysteria), that was the reason they decided to get back together. I also met Rich Cronin from LFO that same night (RIP).

2. I’ve been an NKTOB fan since I was in Kindergarten and I’m going to my 7th NKOTB concert in June. I can’t wait!

3. I love to travel.

4. I love to take pictures of everything, I’m into documenting.

5. The flamingo is my favorite bird.

6. Blue is my favorite color, but hot pink is a close second

7. I have a crazy collection of R2D2’s on my mantle, and I love every single one!

8. I saw Conan O’Brien walking down the street in NY when I was a kid. I had no idea who he was at the time, but he is very tall and immaculately dressed.

9. I never made it past the first 10 minutes of the movie, Frozen. I also never heard anything beyond the chorus of “Let it Go”. Lifetime avoidance achievement unlocked!

10. I’m a beauty product hoarder. If it’s something new and exciting, I want to try it!

11. I own an obscene amount of shoes and clothes. I went to school for fashion design and work for a footwear company. So let’s just call it “research”?
